TWELVE LIVES LOST.
BRAVE RESCUES BY FIREMEN.
By Telegraph—Presi Aisoclation.— New York, December 3. A fire destroyed a crowded apartment house in New York last night. Two of the inmates were killed and five were fatally injured, while five are missing. The firemen rescued a dozen people by scaling high ladders amidst the cheering of a crowd of onlookers.
