AUCKLAND SUPREME COURT
KB 17PTC CASES. The Supreme Court, sat- in Auckland yesterday morning, His Honor Mr. Justice Cooper presiding. After a number of prisoners had been sentenced, some applications ■in bankruptcy were heard. Discharges were applied for on behalf of Nathan Phillips, by Mr. Mowlem, and of Mary Jane Phyllis," by Mr. R. A. Singer. No objections were raised in either case. In the case of F. J. Roach, an application tor discharge was made by Mr. Singer, who stated that the bankrupt had received notice that he was a beneficiary under a will. The official assignee, Mr. W. S. Fisher, said that he had not seen the will; and His Honor adjourned the application "until the next sitting of the Court for proof to be given of _ the bequest. The date of the next sitting in Auckland for the hearing of bankruptcy cases was fixed for November 7. His Honor afterwards dealt with soma chamber business. Decrees of divorce were made absolute in the cases Parker v. Parker, Munro v. Munro, and Burke v. Burke, in each of which Mr. Prendergast appeared for the petitioners.
