A BOROUGH'S BALANCE-SHEET

At a special meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council last night, the ■ balancesheet of the borough for the year ended March 31 last, was received from the borough treasurer (Mr. A. L. "White), duly audited. Tho Mayor said it was very pleasing to learn that the balance-sheet bad been received back from the Audit Department without any "fags" whatever, and was satisfactory in every way. On his motion, it was unanimously adopted.
