Morey (chairman), i A. 0. McKenzie, W. A. Kerr, D. McCarroJl, J. B. Mann, R. Y. Kernahan, .J. A. McLean, J. Grice, ,J. Seymour, N. Finlayson, T. Webb, and F. J. Dargaville. In reply to a letter /rom Lodge Royal Waipu. .M.U., 1.0. it was- decided to j treat financial members of friendly societies • at the Board's hospitals at half rates, providing they are subscribers to the several lodges' hospital funds. It was decided to urge the Government to place a sum upon the Estimates and formulate measures to enable hospital boards to stamp out tuberculosis. Mr. T. Webb was deputed as the Board's delegate to co-operate with appointees from the. various Northern Wuiroa bodies interested in the finding telephone system, with a view to its reorganisation and betterment.. The chairman reported that a quarteracre section of the Board's property at Mail-town had been sold for the sum of £250, and the execution of the deed was authorised. A notice of motion by Mr. Mann was considered, whereby Clause 131 of the | Board's regulations was rescinded, in ori der that hospital fees might be reduced, and the rate c? treatment per day at the j Board's hospitals was fixed at 4s, It was decided to employ labour in im- ! proving the Kopuru Hospital grounds, to | invite tenders for painting the nurses' cot- | tage, and to forward to the widow of the late Dr. Gilpin the sympathy of the Board in her sad bereavement.
