That- the several purposes for which the respective loans arc required and Mi© sum proposed to be borrowed for each such purpose are as follows: — (a) The extension and improvement of the Auckland Waterworks by the construction of a Storage Reservoir for the Water Supply of the City of Auckland at Nihotupu, the purchase and laying of new mains for the conveyance of the water from Nihotupu towards the said City, and the purchase and laying of new mains for the improvement of the Water Supply Reticulation in the _ „ said City £150,000 (b) The purchase of part Allotment 9 and Allotment 10 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland, at the foot of Shelly Beach Road, containing about 12 acres, for the purpose of a Public Park, and the laying out and improvement of such property for such purpose ... £22,000 (c) Tile construction of Swimming Baths in W,aitemata Harbour. off. Shelly Beach £5,000 (d) The construction of Swimming Baths in the vicinity of Hobson and Customs Streets ... £10,000 (e) Tho construction of Swim-ming-Baths 011 the old Reservoir Site,- bounded by Karangahape and Ponsonby Roads, Hereford and Hopetoun Streets £5,000 (f) The erection of a suitable building, and the furnishing and equipment thereof for the purposes of a Branch to the Public Library on the Water Works Property in Mt. Eden Road £3,000 2. That .the Auckland City Council being unable to provide tho necessary funds for such works, or either or any of them, out of the ordinary revenues of the City of Auckland, proposes to borrow the above respective sums or sums not exceeding the above respective amounts in respect of each of the above respective purposes against which the respective amount is placed. - 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of each and every of such Loans shall be the revenues of the City of Auckland. subject to the existing Loans chargeable on such revenues. 4. That the Auckland City Council proposes to make each of such Loans repayable in 21 years, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of £J per cent, per annum in respect of each such Loan. 5. That the Auckland City Council being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of the ordinary revenues of the Citv of Auckland proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £225,000. ... • 3.
