MINER LOSES AN EYE.

Waihi, Wednesday. The loft eye of William Hill, the victim of the accident in tho Waihi mine yesterday afternoon, was so badly injured that an operation for its removal had to be performed .it tho District Hospital last night. The right eye was also injured by the Hying stone- from the explosion, but it is hoped that tho sight will be saved.
