♦ SALE OF ISLINGTON ESTATE, The sections in the Islington Estate at Mount Roskill were submitted for sale by auction, on the ground on Saturday afternoon by Mr. Louis Lewis, on behalf of the agents, Mesrs. Paul Hansen and Co. In spite of the threatening weather there was a fair attendance, and there was brisk bidding for most of the lots offered. The estate has been subdivided into 160 allotments, and of the 39 offered on Saturday 23 found buyers. Lot No. 112, containing a five-roomed residence, realised £500. The prices realised for the other sections sold were as follows: — No. 1, £2 10s per foot; Nos. 3, 4, 5, and 6, £1 15s; Nos. 55, 111, 166, and 167, £2 10s; Nos. 16* and 165, £1 12s 6d; No. 103, £l ss; Nos. 28 and 41, £1 9s 6d; No. 96, 13s; No. 95, 12s 6d; No. 94, 15s; No. 93, £1; No. 92, £1 2s 6d; No. 140, £1 10s; No. 129, 16s; No. 130, 15a 6d. The total purchase money represented by the sales amounted to £2679. The auction sale will be continued at 2.30 p.m. to-day at Messrs. Paul Hansen and Co.'s land auction rooms, 64, Queen-street.
