A FAIR amount of business was transacted on the Stock Exchange yesterday. In investment stocks a sale was recorded in National Banks (rights) at 32s 6d, there being further buyers at 32s 6d, sellers at 335. South British Insurances wore dealt in at 595, and more could have been disposed of at the same price, but further sellers required 60s. Auckland Trams (ord.) sold at 22s 6d. In mining lines Waihis firmed a little, selling nt from £9 6s to £9 7s to £9 6s 6d to £9 7s, and closing with buyers at £9 6s 6cl. sellers at £9 7s. Waihi Extondeds sold at 3s 2d and 3s. Grand Junctions were weaker, the business done being at from 32s 3d to 31s 3d to 31s 6d. The closing quotations wore buyers 31s 6:1, sellers 31s 9d. Talismans commanded attention at 53s and 52s 9d, the market closing with buyorfi at 51s 6(1, sellers at 52s Gel. Old Haurakis gold at 'from 3s 8d to os 7d to 3s 9d.
