The secretary's .'■.• report showed that the ',-, team had been ' fairly ' successful during the past. season, . though they had ; failed \to secure : the jcoveted cup. Although they had started in debt and built a shed costing ..some £7, they had to begin the new year a email ; balance in hand after all accounts had been paid. V The ji chairman (Mr. c Mcintosh) congratulated the xlub on its sound position, and gave the members • jwme excellent advice, which, if followed, (should ''place them in a still • better position at the end »f the forthcoming season. The election of officers *hen took place, Mr. ? Ganley (the patron) receiv- - tag a hearty vote of .thinks for >. permitting watches to be played in his paddock. Auckland "soccer" referees* ; . \,, association. ■; . ■' ■■■■_>:■ The third "annual meeting of the Auckland *• Soccer" Referees' Association was held in the Sports Clubroom last night. Amongst, those present were * Messrs. W. Scott (chairman), 0. .0. Speed, C. O. Dunsford, T. Philp, H. Ilobinson, W. Holmes, French, and Cadwallader. The balance-sheet, .which was adopted, showed a ha]- . ance in hand of £2 5s Id, this being a. loss on the season's working ;of 3s 7d. The following officers rwere ■ elected:— J Mr. A. Burt; chairman, Mr. G.C. Speed; hon. treasurer, Mr. CO. Dunsford; hon. secretary, Mr. W. Holmes; committee, Messrs. French and Robinson'; delegate to Auckland Association, Mr. W. Scott.
