MERCER V. HUNTLY. "[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The return cricket match, Mercer and District V. Huntly, was played at Huntly on Saturday afternoon under excellent weather conditions. The visitors* who batted first, -put up 103 runs, to which Shaw contributed 36, S. Vinson 21, and King 16, the first-named playing a capital game. Huntlv. whose team was rendered weak by the absence of several of the best players, responded with 52 for sis wickets, the call of time making •he match a draw. For the home team the highest scorers were: Hagan 15,.F0x 11, and Wilton 7 (not out). For Mercer S. Vinson captured three wickets and King two, while for the'home team Campbell was responsible for six wickets, ]East for three, and Fox for one. The team, which was unbeaten this season, was beaten only once in three years.
