A meeting of the New Zealand Tower Boat Association was held on Wednesday evening, The, chief business was the 'selecting of a handleapper in the place of Mr. W. 15. Kyre, who recently resigned. . Much regret : was expressed at Mr. Eyre's resignation. . It whs' decided to appoint three haudieappers to act for the rest of the season, but difficulty- was experienced in/getting • nominations, so it was left to the commodore io select, the h'andic.appers from : the committee. It - was resolved ,' to discontinue •■ the ;'2i per cent, penalty system, and.on the motion of Mr. J. Reid it was "resolved to rim the races, on ■ the "points" system, so that every boat completing the eoume 'would lie given 5 points, : and an additional point- for over?' boat -beaten, the. points to' count for the balance of the' Sanson's racing. ■
