RAILWAYMEN'S REQUESTS.

Tire Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants to-day resolved that the system of. punishment by marks should* be substituted for the present system; that m all cases of temporary- transfers lodging allowance he paid for" the first three months; that the Minister be requested to grant full civil and political rights to all railway men; that all men brought on duty be paid for not Jess than four hours; that where ? -work is continuous, shunters and signalmen should not be eailed upon to work more than 10 hours in any one day. It was decided to discuss with the Minister the ; present : unsatisfactory methods adopted by the Department in recognising the alue of inventions by railway .employees.-:;.; ; .■■■■■.■ '
