AUCKLAND CLUB'S COMPETITIONS.
Tho members of the Auckland Golf Club played their last match at Cornwall Park links on Saturday, a mixed foursome, for which there was a large entry, being the concluding event. The , match was won by Mrs. and Mr; MeCormiok,'who returned the net scoro of 19. Other cards returned were: Miss Duthie and W. Carrick, 52; Miss Buller and Dudley, 52; Miss Martin and Tonks,. 54; Miss Gorrie and Bali, 54-; Miss Payton and Greig, 135; Mrs. and Mr. Dawson, 57; Mrs. Anderson and Hanna, 57; Miss Kirker and McFarlane, 57; Miss Geddes and S. Upton,- 58 Miss Ruddock and De G'uerier, 60; Miss Stevenson and H. Eorton, 60; Miss Clark and Jackscm, 60; Miss Gorrie and Gordon, 61; Miss Richmond and Ruddock, 61; Miss Browning and St. J. Clark, 65; Miss Richmond and Ramford, 65; Miss Keosing and P. Upton, 66; Miss Greig and Bruce, 70 Miss Cameron and Parkes, 76. A large number of cards were not returned. Play will cominenco at Otahuhu links on Saturday next, and train arrangements will bo announced during the week. Members of tho club are requested to takq away their clubs, clothes, and other property from tho Auckland clubhouse at One-tree Hill as early as possible this week, as the officers of the club hopo to A'acato the house by Wednesday. ...' „ - , _ - " After play next Saturday a working bee will be held, for": tho purpose of improving the ground. Each member is requested to bring an adze.
PRACTICE LINKS.
A meeting will be held at tho Chamber of Commerco on Tuesday evening, Dr. Dudley being oijp of the conveners, for tho purpose of considering the carrying on of a ninehole practice course at One-tree Hill. All golf players,, ladies and gentlemen, are invited to be present.
NAPIER LADIES' TOURNAMENT. [BY telegraph.—pbess association.] NAriEB, Saturday.
The Napier Ladies' Golf Club's annual tournament was concluded to-day in beautiful weather. Miss Brathwaito and Miss -Hind marsh met in the final of the championship, and Miss Brathwaite proved the winner by two up. It was a splendid contest. The players wero all square when halfway, and the issue was in doubt to the end.
