DEVONPORT STABBING CASE.

ACCUSED FURTHER REMANDED. The man George McGuirk, appeared on remand at the Police Court yesterday morning, before Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., charged with attempting to murder George Berrett, bis brother-in-law, on December 14, the case being the outcome of the stabbing affray at Devonport last week.

Station-Sergeant Hendry asked for a further remand for eight days, as the victim of the assault was still in a critical condition.

The request was granted, and in response to an application from the accused, His Worship stated that he would consider the granting of bail.
