SOUTH AFRICAN VISIT. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. London, December 20. Reuter's Johannesburg correspondent reports that the South African cricket team will probably accept the offer to visit Australia if it be altered to 1910-11, with a minimum guarantee. An M.C.C. team is to be invited to visit South Africa in 1909-10. THE AUSTRALIANS' TOUR. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Sydney, December 21. The draft programme of the next Australian tour has been accepted. The first test will begin at Birmingham; on May 27, the second at Lords on June 14, the third at Leeds on July 1, the fourth at Manchester on July 26, and the fifth at the Oval on August 9. All are threeday matches except the last, which may be continued on the fourth day if the ] rubber depends on the result. The Board of Control will invite a South African team to visit Australia next season. ■ '"/., \ -*•. _"':' Clem. Hill states the financial arrangements are unjust to players. He would not think of going to England. under the terms. M. A. Noble, captain of the eleven, holds similar views. In regard to the remuneration of players, the Board of Control has notified that it will take the whole of the money, and retain five per cent, of the first £6000 takings, and 12 per cent, of the balance over that amount.
