MEAT FOR MALTA.
TENDERS INVITED IN NEW ZEALAND. [BY telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Thursday. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received from • the lieutenantgeneral commanding in chief at Malta a form of tender calling for the supply of fresh meat and live cattle for. army and naval service in that command during the period of 12 months from January 1, 1909. ;. .;',;--; '.. Tenders, which should be rendered in duplicate, must reach the office of the assistant-director, of supplies"and transport, Malta, on November 2, 1908. In the event of a tender from the Dominion being accepted, notice of same will be cabled to the tenderer.
