The match for the chess championship of the world, between Dr. Lasker, who has been -champion since 1894, and Dr. Tarrasch, a famous German player, has been concluded, victory resting with Dr. Lasker, who won eight games to his opponent's three.- . ■ <
Under the 'conditions of the match draws, of which there were several, did not count in the score. " The winner is to receive a prize of £200, the loser £125, and Br. Lasker an honorarium of £325. The match began at Dusseldorf ;on August 17, was continued at Berlin, and concluded at Munich, -.that city having contributed £250 towards the fund. .
