MEETINGS.
CHRISTIAN, ENDEAVOUR CONTENTION. A MEETING in connection with the sixteenth annual convention of the Auckland Provincial Christian Endeavour Union was held in the Pitt-street Methodist Church, last evening, Mr. Wesley gpraggr occupying' the chair. There was a good attendance. Mr. G. Clements, president of the Christian Endeavour Society, and the Rev. J. Miller (Eden) delivered addresses on no-license, the latter referring: to the" lain'Wng-db'wh'/ case at Gisborne during has ■ remarked; A resolution, moved by Mr. Miller and seconded by the Rev. J. Luxford, was carried,' urging Christian Eiideavourers to use all their efforts to secure votes for no-license. Musical items were contributed by Misses Tudehope, Campbell, and Swowden, and Mr. Atkinson. '
