Crown Lends Department will shortly issue maps of a number of second-class landsto bo opened for selection in Auckland on September 16. The sections are generally of small area, and include « lot of clay and inferior country. .All arc on the optional system of cash purchase, occupation with right of purchase, or renewable lease. In Hobson County, section 2, Block XIV., Tokatoka survey district, 70 acres, is offered for £35, total cash price. It is described us open undulating land, of inferior quality. In Okahu parish, in tho same- county, there ire two sections of open and undulating land, one of 20 acres and one of 52 acres, the cash price of which is about 10s per *ero. .-. In TutamoV survey district, section 12, Block XIII., 70 acres, open, inferior land, about three, miles from Kaihu, is offered. The cash price is £40. Waikato County has six. lots to be offered. Ono section in Maramarua parish, 70 acres, is all deep swamp, and about eight miles from' Mercer by" Water. The* cash purchase nice is £35, tho section being weighted with £24 valuation for drain. In Koheroa jarish, two sections, one of 286 acres, and die other 266 acres, are offered at £145 and £135, both of inferior, undulating, fern and, two miles and a-haif from Mercer. Ten miles further on is a section of 239 acres, at £120, fern land, of inferior quality. In Miiramarna parish, section 61, of 49 acres, is offered at £25, being undulating, fern land, 13 to 15 miles from Mercer. Four sect-ions are grouped in Tatipiri parish, to mako 165 acres, under offer at £35, being land of inferior quality, 12 miles from HuntJy. A section of 257 acres, at £130, is offered in Whangama'rino parish, close to tho Matahttra Pdver. Hokianga County: Whangapo survey district, section 54, Block 11., 93 acres, at £50; generally forest land of good quality, broken and • undulating; threo miles from Broadwood Post Office. Sections 4 and 5, Block V., Hokianga survey district, of 37 acres, and 44 acres, at £20 and £22 10s; section 4 covered -with high manuka, except five acres sand, section 5 nearly ail sand, situated on Hokianga Harbour, near the heads.
