The committee of the Remuera Children's Home is promoting a sale of work to be held on September 9, 10, and 11. In the interval a number of friends of the institution are preparing articles for sale, and the committee is open to receive gifts from sympathisers. A mistaken impression exists that the sale of work has already been held, s.nd the committee therefore desire it announced that the function which was held was a "gift afternoon," and not a sale. Those who have had back teeth filled with amalgam will be interested to know that Mr. Howey Walker, of this city, has been very successful with a high quality alloy or silver filling. This metal never turns black, but keeps a beautiful light silver colour, and wears for many years. Mr. Howey Walker guarantees his fillings not to come out Mr: Walker's rooms are very easily found, being at the corner opposite D.S.C.
