AN ILLEGALITY.

Nafif.r, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Napier Harbour Board, the question of the Board joining the Hawke's Bay Employers' Association came under review. The chairman (Mr. J. Vigor Brown) said he had found it was illegal for the Board to use its: funds for the purpose of joining such a body. On the motion of the chairman, it was decided to rescind the previous resolution, and not tc join the association.
