COMING ELECTIONS.
LABO REPRESENTATIVES. [BY TFXKGRAI'K. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Duneihn, Wednesday. A r a meeting of the Political Labour League to-night, it was decided to ask the following gentlemen to become candidates for the city seats at the general election: —Dnnedin West. J). McLaren and .1. W. Munro: Donedin Central, R. Breen and R. W. Campbell; Dunedin South, R. R -Douglas and J. Haymes. If necessary a ballot "will be taken later on to decide on the candidates to be definitely selected. MR. MILLAR'S OPPONENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dtjnedin, Wednesday. The Political Labour League intends to nominate candidates for Dunedin South and Dunedin West at the general election. It is understood that Mr. Johnston, of Waipori, will bo the Minister for Labour's opponent, and that lie ■will be backed by Labour and temperance interests. Mr. J. W. Shackleford, Liberal candidate for the Eden electorate, announces that he will meet those willing to assist in forming district committees this evening, at Roskill Hall. Dominion Road, and to-morrow evening, at Messrs. IS. Till and Sons, Mount Eden Road.
