Sir,l hope the plan of this new pro- ■ posed public building, as published in ywur Supplement on Saturday last, is not th« . final word in ,' connection with this im* portanfc Vork, at any rate, *a far as outward appearance goes. I consider the towers at) each end of the building ugly in the extreme, the tops of same looking more ilka saucepans with the lids on. Surely seme* thing more artistic could be devised, and I trust will yet bo introduced into the desin - ~ B.D.W.
