TELEGRAPHIC CHESS MATCH.
AUCKLAND BEATS HAMILTON. The chess match, Auckland v. Hamilton, commenced at two p.m. yesterday and concluded near midnight. The play on tho whole was very slow, but there was some lively work at Messrs. Ewen's and Harland's boards. Messrs. Pearson and Stonehouse umpired for Auckland, while Mr. Hosking acted for Hamilton.
