Highway Districts. WAI RO A ROAD BOARD. ; SPECIAL ORDER MAKING BY-LAWS. Public notice ia hereby given that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wairoa Road Board to be held at the Office of the said Board, at Clevedon, on SATURDAY, the 16th day of May. 1508, a Resolution will be submitted to confirm a Resolution to make certain Bylaws as hereinafter mentioned, passed at a Special Meeting of the said Board, held on the 14th day of April, 1908, and for the making of a Special Order making the said Bylaws, the object and purport of such Bylaws being to regulate the width of Tires of Vehicles engaged in heavy traffic, the marking of the Weight on such Vehicles, providing that heavy traffic and the use of bullocks as traction animals shall cease on all roads within the control of the Wairoa Road Board during certain months of the year, provision for Detaining and Examining any Vehicles, and the weightload and contents ; thereof, and providing penalties for the breach of any of the said By-laws, and other incidental provisions necessary for the proper carrying out and enforcement of the said By-laws. A copy of the proposed By-laws is deposited at the Office of the Wairoa Road Board, at the residence of the Clerk to the Board, and at Conldrey's Shop, at Cievedon, and is open to the inspection of all Ratepayers during office hours until the said 16th day of May, 1908.
