A young man named John Thompson, who travelled for his father, a tailor, was found drowned in an estuary to-day. A charge had been brought againsrt him of falsely representing that he had forwarded £10 through the post to the father, and he was under remand
The deceased left a note with the words, " I'll not be seen again."
A CARTER'S DEATH. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Wednesday. The body of Maurice Langley, carter, a married man, was found at the breakwater in the harbour early thia morning. Life was not quite extinct, but strenuous efforts to restore animation failed. At.the inquest a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind, was returned. *
