HUNTLY ITEMS.
[FKOM OUR OWN* CORRESPONDENT.]
Ox Monday evening an enjoyable concert was held, in the Volunteer Hall, which was well filled by an appreciative audience. The object for which the entertainment was held was the augmentation of-the funds of the Huntly Wesleyan Church. The recitations of the Rev. J. Wilson, of Auckland, were much enjoyed. Mr. James, of Maungaturoto, rendered several songs, which evoked much applause, and Mr. H. 0. Gleeson, also of Auckland, had a hearty retention! The exhibition of heavy and " light "clubswinging by the Rev. Mr. Avery was an excellent item, and on© that lent Variety to a good programme, which, in addition, comprised a pianoforte, duet by Mrs. R. Niceolls and Miss Ada Evans, a duet by Miss Eddy and Mi. H. C Gleeson, and songs by Mrs. B. Stewart, Miss Eddy, Messrs. James and Gleeson. Mrs. Niccolls played the accompaniments. Mr. fattlcT, sen., is at present, engaged in surveying and laying off building sites on Mrs. Russell's property on the Kimihia Road. '
