[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION'.] Dvnedin, Wednesday. Tins morning the detectives arrested a young married man named W. P. Harrington, employed as assistant at the Mutual Stores, on a charge of stealing a large and miscellaneous quantity of goods, supposed to be valued at over £100. The detective office presented the appearance of a drapery shop this afternoon, when the detectives were engaged for some hours in sorting out the drapery material alleged to have been stolen. The articles consist of almost everything in the drapery line, and an express had to be engaged to cart the stuff away. When charged with the offence, accused said the articles had been purchased at sales in town, and that some of them had been brought from Christehurcii, where he was formerly living.
