ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT.
A srrriN'fi of the Onehttnga Police Court was held yesterday morning, when Messrs. John Rowe and John J.P.'s, were on the Bench. Sergeant J. Twomey represented the police. William McCrac, of Mangere. was arraigned for having discharged firearms on the Mangere main road to tho annoyance of passers-by, and also with being drunk while in charge of a horse. Accused pleaded guilty to the first indictment, but denied being under the influence of liquor. "The police called Alfred Smith and Mrs. and Miss Turnbull, who deposed that while driving between Otahuhu and Mangere South they came upon accused, who was also driving. The latter got in the way with his vehicle, causing annoyance. When remonstrated with by Smith, McCrac produced a revolver, which he discharged into the air. McCrae was in an inebriated condition. Accused called a witness, who deposed that he saw no sign of liquor about McCrae immediately after the hitter's return home. The Bench held the charges proved, and on the first count inflicted a fine of £1, with costs 7s, and on the second charge, accused was fined £1, with costs £1 18s.
