FIRE IN SYDNEY.
GREAT DAMAGE DONE
By Telegraph —Press Association.— Sydney, August 20. A destructive fire which occurred during last night in Sussex-street, gutted large stores owned by Messrs. Turner and Company, general warehousemen; Mr. Dudley, tent-maker; and Mr. Murray, printer; and damaged the iron stores of Messrs. John Keep and Sons. The damage is very extensive, but no estimate can as yet be made as to the actual loss sustained. * _ •%, A largo detachment of the fire brigade worked strenuously to , restrict the out-' break. X «
