HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Limited, Hamilton, report:— Thursday 'ast, at the Hamilton yard*, owing to the exceedingly rough weather, only a small muster of cattle were yarded. Seventy fat steers and heifers did not elicit keen bidding at the hammer, but were all quitted afterward", excepting one pen of steers. . Fat steers (light weights) realised from £7 5s to £7 14s; fat heifers and cows, £4 15a to £5 lis; forward steers, £6 5s to £6 12a 6d ; strong calves, £1 3s; store cows and heifers, £1 12a 6d to £1 17s 6d. The 40 dairy cows from Mr. J. Sladill were eagerly competed for, the best cows due to calve in July and August realising from £7 5s to £9 ss; others, to calve in October and November, £4 15s to £5 10s. On behalf of other clients: Cows at profit, £5 10s to £7 10s; aged cull cows, £2 10s to £3 ss; fat <iud forward ewes, 16s 6d to 17s. No pigs yarded.
