The inter-University games take'place ait' Sydney on the 29th inst. 'On the same dato the South. African amateur championships will be held. The American championships take place on September 6 and 7, at Jamestown, Norfolk, Virginia. The Australian amateur championships are to be decided this year at Hobart, Tasmania. The dates fixed for them are November 9 find 11... , i-'-s,-W. . Bethune, tho old-time hammerthrowing crack, is at present in China.
