HOME RULE FOR IRELAND.
Mr. Joseph Devlin, M.P. for WestBelfast, and one of the Irish delegates who are touring the colonies in the interests of Home Rule, left Auckland for Rotorua by Monday's express. He will return to Auckland about Saturday, January 5, and will be the guest of" Bishop Lenihan until the following Monday, when he will leave for the South. He will return to Auckland again about January 15, and will remain here until February 1, when he will leave for America. [by telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Monday. Contributions from Wellington to the Home Rule fund total between £400 and £500. Mr. Martin Kennedy lias been appointed treasurer to the fund, not only for Wellington, but for the whole of' the colony. The following are the chief local subscriptions * —Mr. Martin Kennedy, £50; Mrs. Martin Kennedy, £25; Mr. H. Gilmer, £25; Mr. Maurice O'Connor, £25; Archbishop Redwood, £25; Mr. James Dealy, £10 10s; Messrs. Dwan Brothers and Mr. O. M. Cardie, £10.
