(Received December 25, 12.12 a.m.) Vienna, December 21. The observatory at Laibach, in Austria, recorded on Saturday an earthquake 1375 miles distant, and continuing in a south-easterly direction, and another on Sunday 6250 miles distant. Similar records were obtained in Italy and in the Isle of Wight. '.Received December 25, 10.35 a.m. ) London, December 24. A violent earthquake, lasting a minute and a-half, has been experienced at Kopal. in Russian Turkestan.
