GERMAN SOUTH-WEST AFRICA.

NATIVES ARMING IN.CAPE

COLONY.

By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright

(Received December 25, 12.12 a.m.) Berlin, December 21. The Teehnische Rundschall, a Berlin journal, reports that the natives on the upper reaches of the Great Fish River, in Cape Colony, are showing signs of unrest, and that they muster 600 men armed with rifles. The report has caused great anxiety in Berlin.

The Great Fish River of Capo Colony rises in the Sneeubergen Mountains, which are from 400 to 500 miles from the border of the the German colony of South-west Africa, and flows eastward to the Indian Ocean. Before these natives could reach that border they would have to pass outposts of the Cape Mounted Police. Recently it was reported that the German Government was negotiating with the British Government for precautions to ho taken, against the rebels using British territory as a basis of operations.
