Paeroa, Monday. AX inquest was he'd at Mangaiti on Friday by Mr. W. Forrest (Coroner), touching the death of Mr. Stanley Brown's little girl, who fell into a. well and was drowned. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
At a meeting of the aero a School Committee on Friday Mr. E. .1. Priest lev was elected a member of the committee in" place of Mr. (!. Brabant, resigned. It was decided to recommend the Board of Education to appoint Mr. A. M. Algie assistant teacher of the High School class. Mr. Algie is at present holding the position temporarily A game was played on the Paeroa bowling green on Saturday between Mr. Hamilton, holder of the challenge singles, and IJr Smith, Mr. Hamilton won by 25 points to 10.
