The current issue of the AuckJjANP Wkkkly' News (the Christmas Holiday Number), now issued, besides covering a wide range of subjects of general public interest, contains a wonderful wealth of beautiful and attractive illustrations, bearing directly on the holiday season, and forms a splendid publication for sending away to friends in all parts of the colony and abroad.

The double page of the number is devoted to an excellent series of unique native studies, depicting summer scenes in Maoriland. These alone mark the issue as being a highly interesting one, the pictures themselves being most happily treated

Among the current events illustrated, will be found scenes at the New Zealand International Exhibition, including a, superb full-page panoramic view taken from one of the towers of the building, showing Wonderland, and the many attractions surrounding it. Other pictures show incidents of great interest in different parts of the Exhibition.

The coming rowing match between Webb, the New Zealand oarsman, and Stanbury, ex-world's champion, on tho Wanganui River, during the holiday season, is illustrated by capital portraits of the two, whilst a sculling race on the Wanganui River shows the course over which the race will be rowed.

Numerous other groups, specially selected, views, and portraits, including scenes on the route of the North Island Mam Trunk railway, the Wellington Amateur Swimming Club's sports, North Auckland railway, and a highly-popular and humorous page, entitled, " How we enjoy our Christmas Holidays," go to make up a splendid issue, which is enhanced by a strikingly decorative title-page, and abundance of high-class and seasonable letterpress.
