Margaret Witki**, described as an incorrigible drunkard, was sent to gaol for three months. For disorderly conditrt John Wake was fined £2 and costs. or 14 days' imprisonmont, and .John MeNaiigbion £1 or '18 hours' imprisonment. A fine of £1 and costs was inflicted on two men named Benjamin Mitchell and George bx.uens, for lighting in Queen-street on Saturday evening. The alternative was. 48 Injurs* imprisonment. On a charge of obtaining LoO at Te Aran>,4 by false pretences. George Goldsmith was remanded for a week. bail being allowed. John Ploughman was at«j remanded for a week on a charge of committing an unnatural offence. Bail was granted.
