PERMITS FOR BEER DEPOTS
NEW REGULATIONS UPSET.

DtrNEDiN, Saturday. His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman gave his decision iu the Invercargill beer depot cases this morning, upsetting the new regulations. A mandamus was ordered to issue as asked by Mr. Roopo, a brewer, compelling the Collector of Customs at Invercargill to issue permits to the plaintiff to remove certain beer from his brewery to a depot less than a mile from the boundaries of the Invercargill licensing district.
