The third of the series of race meetings promoted by the Auckland Park Jockey Club, took place at the utahuhu racecourse last Saturday, when there was a good attendance. The racing, with the exception of one event, was very interesting, and the starting of Mr. L. Hrennan was very successful. Mr. C. F. Pratt attended to the secretarial duties, and his arrangements gave general satisfaction. 'Hie judge's box was capably filled by Mr. J. Linden. Only one incident tended to mar what was otherwise a most enjoyable outing, an dthis was the performances of the horses engaged in the Flying Handicap. In this event the starters were: Tainbourina (W. Neary), Intouibi (J. Neary),. Alisere (11. Tate), and Bluesjkin (Jenkins). Despite the efforts of Mr. Brennan to effect a good start the field, with the exception of Blueskin, moved off slowly, the latter, however, getting a big break, and securing the decision from Tamhourina. Exception was taken to the action of the horsemen, and the stewards, after a short consultation, declared " no' race," and all wagers off. It was further decided not to allow Tambotmna, Misere, Intonibi. or their riders to take part in the concluding event, and an inquiry will be held at the clabroom next Friday evening.
