KAIPARA STEAMSHIP CO.
A scheme of amalgamation of companies has been arranged between the directors of the Northern Union Steamboat Company, Ltd., and the. Wairoa Steamship Company, and all that now remains to do done, to completematters is for the shareholders of the latter company to confirm the arrangements. The directors believe that the amalgamation will bo beneficial to all parties concerned and to the travelling public. The Northern Union Steamboat Company, Ltd., will take over all the assets and liabilities of the Wairoa Company, and the litter company will be represented by two members on the board of directors. The time-tables will not be disarranged in any way, and the inhabitants of the northern portion of the West Coast will be catered for as usual in the future. The new company will be called the Kaipara Steamship Company, with a capital of £60.000 in £1 shares, it has also been decided that two of the directors shall reside at Kaipara.
