A BARQUE AFIRE.
SERIOUSLY DAMAGED AND FILLS. By Telegraph Pirns Association.— Copyright. . Sydney, September 10. A firk has occurred aboard the barque Marlborough Hill, and it was not got under until the whole of the after part had been gutted.
The cabins in the officers' quarters were destroyed, the decks were warped, and the stern plates buckled. The barque filled with water and settled down.
The damage is roughly estimated at from £5000 to £6000.
