HOROWHENUA, [BY TETiK.GUAPn,—PRESS ASSOCIATION-.] Wanoanui. Thursday. A representative match between Wanganui and Horowhenua was played at Wanganui to-day and won by Wanganui by 26 points to. The game was fast, the play being mostly confined to the forwards. Directly alter the' start l'akarangi potted a goal. Austin later secured a lucky try from a rebound, and Macdonnld scored from a forward rush. The spell ended with the score at 10 points to nil. Soon after resuming King, by a dodgy run, scored for Horowhenua and liawiri converted. Later on Holland kicked a splendid penalty goal, and Austin scored a try. which Holland converted. Capel, with a fast, run down the touch-line, scored in the corner. Holland again converted. A forward rush eventuated in Hogan scoring near, the corner. . Holland failed to convert. Wanganui showed good allround form, but needed better combination. Holland, Austin, Paknrangi. and Corby were the most, conspicuous, while King played ■ a great, game as wing forward.
