The committee of the Waihi Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society met last night, and it was reported that the late show was v&y successful from every standpoint. The Sod don. Fund Memorial Committee held a meeting last night, and it was decided to make a house-to-house canvass for subscriptions. It was decided that a meeting of ladies be called for Wednesday afternoon next in order that their assistance in . the canvass may be obtained. . . The Waihi Wesley an Crusader Band of Hone meeting was held in the Presbyterian Ilail last night, c.nd was largely attended. An interesting programme was Submitted, including a dialogue, "The Trouble"? of a Bachelor." • - Oil Saturday next a football match is to bo played between the Foresters' and Hibernian Lodges.
