PEAIIY'S ARCTIC EXPEDITION.
ANXIETY FOR ITS SAFETY.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— London, July IS. There is uneasiness in New York regarding the safety of Commander Peary and his Arctic expedition. No news of it has been received for many months and the weather in the Arctic regions has been exceptionally severe.
Commander Peary sailed on July of last year in the ship Roosevelt on his fifth attempt to reach the Pole. The Roosevelt is provided with armature to force its way through ice. Peary's intention was to advance as far north as possible in 1905 and to winter at the north end of Greenland or Grant /and. In February he intended with Eskimos to push northward .over the pack ice. He has a wireless installation on his vessel.
