The Belgian training ship Comte le Smefc de with 30 cadets aboard, bound for Australia, has foundered in a gale in the Bay of Biscay. The captain and 33 others of those ■ on board were drowned. c Twenty were saved, and are pro- • ceeding to Hamburg on the French barque Dunkerque. The ('onite le Swet de Maevcr was a Belgian full-rigged ship, of 1867 tons, and her ! master was Captain ooinellie. She arrived : at Antwerp on January 11, and she was in port on February 8. The cadets would belong to the mercantile marine.
