Wellington, Thursday. At the meeting to-day of the Board appointed to consider the candidates for th« Rhodes scholarship of 1906, R. A. Farquharison, JB.tSc, of. Dunedin, was chosen from the list submitted. Mr. Faliaison is 23 years of age, and has been a prominent* footballer. Ho entered Dunedin University on a junior scholarship, and graduated ill 1903.
