MEDICAL STUDENTS AND MATERNITY CASES.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

DrxEDix. Thursday. At the meeting of the benevolent trustees yesterday a somewhat strange sidelight was thrown on the still vexed question of medical students and maternity cases. Mr. Burnett said that, despite the fuss made when students got a chance of attending maternity cases at the institution, they would not go out. It was reported that -when students did como they wore generally so long in responding to the call that the cases were over before their arrival. There were five maternity cases now in the institution, but there was no attendance, of students. Mr. Burnett's statement was borne out by officers of the institution, who were in attendance.
