NEW ARRIVALS.

IMMIGRANTS BY THE AYRSHIRE. TllE steamer Ayrshire, which arrived from Liverpool yesterday morning, brought a. number of passengers who intend to take up their residence in New Zealand, and endeavour to make homes for themselves. The passengers by the steamer numbered 137, of whom 54 landed at Auckland, the others being for Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The majority are described as fanners and mechanics, and appear to be a sturdy lot, who will probably make good settlers. They are of English, Scottish, and Irish nationality, and are mostly young married couples with children ranging from two years to 13 years, of both sexes. They have been attracted to New Zealand by the accounts published regarding the prosperity of the colony, and especially regarding the labour conditions.
