CYCLING.
Entries for the Auckland test road race, to be held on August 19, for the purpose of selecting a rider to represent the centre in the Timaru to Christchurch road race (September 20), close with the secretary of the Auckland Cycling Club, Mr. H. J. Fl ? ldr > on Saturday, August .12. The race will be from Manger© to Wairoa South and back, a distance of 50 miles, and the total prize money to be distributed amounts to iJU. The competitor doing the fastest time will receive £10 from the Dunlop Tyre Company towards defraying his expenses South, a cold medal, and other trophies. The Napier test race for the selection of a rider to take part in the Timaru-Christ-church road race will be from Woodville to Napier, a distance of 100 miles, and will bs run on August 5, as also will be the Dunedin and Wellington test races. The Dunlop road race from Timaru to Christchurch "is so arranged that the competitor who establishes the fastest time, and who will go to Australia as the New Zealand representative, will have the-opportunity of competing in the Goulburn-Sydney race, for which prizes to the value of are offered, the 25 miles road championship of Victoria, and the Warrnambool-Melbourne road race, the prize list of which amounts to £165.
